genuinely sorry to read of your further woes Lateral, no one ever factors in the sheer lack of resilience for the person when they take the job away ... please consult suitable entrails before big decisions ... [

I seem to recall PS being less than enthusiastic about this ex-Be Good Tanya for reasons I'm sure he'll correct/remind me of.
About time I dusted off that Catalpa album..so thanks for the reminder, gets my vote.

          Global,
          You're right.
Ms H pens some truly grand words and sings them in a very fine, genuine fashion - but live I've found
her to be something of a disaster.

Calum, Many thanks. This was a better day with visits from professionals. I can't say much on here currently but I feel a little more reassured on several points. This afternoon, though, a strong smell of gas.

Vans now outside to pull up the pavement and parts of our garden into the night with highest leakage levels shown to be at the boundary fence where earth has been removed and lorries in and out.

The owners stood at the other end of the road denying any cause and observing with a supercilious air "oh, and here is Lateral." They don't do dialogue unless they want something and appear to be enjoying the discomfort it is causing my parents, Lat.

              Calum,
Just watched that Holland clip. Blimey she's ( appearance ) unrecognisable from a few years back.
A couple of stone lighter at least !
Now The Girls Of The Golden West need unearthing from time to time but in this quite odd song,
they are going to doing the burying.

I love this one, but I could do with a version without all the strings.

                        Lat,

That Townes song is cheerily entitled 'Waitin' Around To Die '

They should give it a spin on the Breakfast show

And for your pending list here's my Charlie Rich suggestion - ' I Can't Even Drink It Away '

As for the Louvins, my Bear Family Box set - is that allowed ( 240 + songs )

The Everly Brothers - ' Put My Little Shoes Away ' ( another one that would wreck J Peel )

Paul - Many thanks. On your specific question, I've had a word with Kirsty Young. She says no. - Sorry, Lat. (You can try to find though variations on a theme - the brothers together, solos, duets with others, etc.)
