    Dick Gaughan unwell

News in the papers today that Dick Gaughan has had to take a break after having suffered what appears to be a stroke-like illness. Radcliffe also played a track on the R2 folk show for him. Hope he gets well soon.
FANS and friends have come to the aid of Scots folk legend Dick Gaughan after ill health forced the singer to take time off.

Indeed, lets hope he gets back to full fitness.

Be good to see him back to the Wickham festival sometime soon.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Sorry to hear about this. I was hoping to see him at the Edinburgh Festival, but got distracted by other matters.

Saw him a couple of times in the 80s: a powerful performer and a very generous man with his encores!

It's not just what you're born with
It's what you choose to bear
It's not how big your share is
But how much you can share
And it's not the fights you dreamed of
        But those you really fought
It's not what you've been given
It's what you do with what you've got.

        get well....

          Sad news.

I saw him at Cecil Sharp House some years ago.

It wasn't the happiest event for me but I have always loved "True and Bold", the eighties production and all (!)

It is also in one of my favourite album covers:
