Alas, I cannot comment on the criminal underbelly of Derry, although it is certainly true that lurking beneath the opulence of much of central London lies a seedier reality.
As for the Sage, I have been informed that it will be possible to speed date that seedier reality at around ten to four this coming Saturday afternoon, if you can still make it?
Do so at your peril, however, as it could be a new generation thinker instead, who is in control!
Sage Gateshead - BBC Radio 3 Free Thinking Festival: "Speed Date" New Generation Thinkers
PS Of course, if the Friends of Radio 3 (FoR3) would prefer a live debate on the future of Radio 3, their nemesis has just suggested that he will be available, as ever, after speed dating the entire Sage! He adds that it would, inevitably, be the Friends' round! Cheers, all (whatever you are drinking)!

Originally posted by bbThe pertinent point here, teamsaint, is who is control of what? If we are asking who is control of 'The Radio 3 Forum', you may well be right. Obviously, the context of the opening post (OP) was the link below.
Sage Gateshead: Free Thinking Festival
So I am asking who is in control in more general terms. My answer is ultimately no one, teamsaint, rather like a null hypothesis. Of course, you are all more than welcome to disagree!
Well the banks , obviously.
enjoy the free thinking festival.
Why is it free thinking. Isn't it free, by definition?

Originally posted by bbWell, teamsaint, you could argue that from an evolutionary perspective, human thinking has a high cost. We require a lot of energy to do so (answer on a dirty post van). How do you define thinking, teamsaint?I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
