I thought it was a cracking question, and bravo vinblanc for nabbing it.

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

That was a nice question, mercs...it's never actually occurred to me to wonder whether the FNIMN theme tune actually had a name!

to be honest I've never heard the programme, and wiki seems to suggest that not much of the tune gets played

... sorry, folks - lunch was well good but too distracting to allow any AA inspiration - and now the sun is shining and a Thames-side walk is on offer - so if someone else has a nice G raring to go, that might be best? - otherwise, there will be a lull in the proceedings...

On a quite glorious early spring day in the metropolis, I have no reproaches and no Gs to offer

                        ... OK a swift one -

What G might be variously -

                        suspended, harmonic, or dampened....
