It is a piece of music.

Yes, I was wondering about the "Easy-Listening" gateaux-themed single, too. But it might be a book/film ... ?

An instinctive high-achiever, perhaps? So come along, one down, two to go!

Think you've cracked it mercia!! The Song of the Forests
I only got the Black Forest through Cali mentioning H. Potter: Horst Burbulla went on to build the telescopic crane which enables cameras to be moved during shots and used during the Harry Potter movies. And, Horst (wossisname) did Black Forest. Odd how the mind works. Edit: I have only read one H. Potter book and seen one movie!! I am no Potter anorak

                      Bax's 'Happy Forest'

Shostakovich opus 81 'Song of the Forests'

Horst Jankowski's 'Walk in the Black Forest'
                      - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQrBxslfX-o ... Once heard, never forgotten. One of those 'sounds of my childhood'...

                      Slices of gateau all round

                      Who wants a G-up?

To be fair, you mentioned HP this time around! But remarkable stuff Anna ... As I said, an instinctive high-achiever! I think your synapses are linked up differently from the rest of us, enabling you to connect your extensive mental library of facts quite brilliantly!

... so happy not to know anything about any of the above.

By the way, who is this "Harry Potter" people are talking about? I know (from off the tele... ) that there's a barrister/ ex-chaplain doing a series on the Law with this name...
