?? Georgia named after George II, Handel's employer ??

    Comment

      Handel was one Georgian composer

I need another Georgian composer from yet another continent for my underworld river...

( ... and the Hoagy Carmichael number was? )

          yes, bravo Mercia!

Kancheli is the other Georgian composer I was thinking of....

"Georgia on my Mind" was of course the Hoagy Carmichael number.

I think it really belongs to Northanger or subs.
I was nowhere near Georgia before that

My contribution was modest, in all conscience, and as I shall be out and about (making the best of the better weather) for much of the day, may I suggest that subcontrabass, who introduced Georgia into the proceedings, carry forward the metaphorical torch?

(Sorry about the double message - still learning the ropes!) Please ignore #22161

... well, in #22148 Caliban half-inkled that it was Hoagy Carmichael -

and in #22151 Anna mentioned "Georgia"

Mercia provided Handel and Kancheli - but doesn't seem to want to take up the bâton -

Me, I'm off now for a walk.

Praps Subcontra, Anna, or Caliban might have a little H to share???
