Maybe only me and a few acquaintances knew it as 'A strange-looking parasite'.

Any road up, Ferney, I reckon you've earned a C+ for your contribution to the solution.

There you go then 'Happiness' and no 'Tears' and another AA clue goes down 'The River'. When you think all those years ago they kept the Stones off No1!

Clementi comes to mind but if he was anonymous then by definition would have no name.

Indeed. The composer is not anonymous. Perhaps "by the anonymous" might be more helpful?

But not Clementi, by the way.

Or even L'anonima (and La magnifique and L'abondance, for that matter).

De Clérambault's Syndrome:- Synonyms: erotomania (a delusion of passion), erotomanic delusion, paranoia erotica, psychose passionnelle

A form of paranoid delusion with an amorous quality. The patient, often a single woman, believes that an exalted person is in love with her...

But I do love you, Anna!

Been looking in, with no grasp at all. I think Santa stole my brain

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
