I suspect that's not what's on the card though
        It most certainly was.

So last one is the presence in a long title of an opera. Think Hot Gabriel .....

            Good lord.

Sorry, been off-line and otherwise engaged. "The angel Gabriel from heaven came, his wings as drifted snow, his eyes as flame"... Incendiary archangels... Can't get this at all...

And about to embark on the homeward journey now...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Should I give that last piece out?

              Who's turn is it anyway?

              BTW, Caliban, 'angel' is good.

Nah.... I should wait for the workers to get home and settle down to some solving...

A good idea but not what I had in mind. Is there a Hells Angel opera?

Join the club! Had a thought or tw about it - hot gabriel - Dantes Inferno - couple of operas, francesca di rimini, and gianni scicchi, but that is as far as it went.

                          Here's two more clues.

                          Citrus fruit.

                          West Side Story.

That's three clues in total since 18.30

Off to the land of nod now....

I've been trying various Doctors (they all say I should cut down on AA: what do they know?!) Dr Atomic, Dr Miracle - but the only "long title" with a Doctor in it I can think of is Dr Strangelove; or How I Learnt to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - the angel of Death??? - which isn't an Opera AFAIK (unless Bernstein wrote it and the Manuscript was lost whilst researching Delius' orange gr ...

No; as you were. "Citrus Fruit" = orange groves; "West Side Story" based on R & J; "opera with long name" - it all seemed to be holding together ...

... but there's no Ryddu "Doctor" in A Village Romeo and Juliet!
