The first two are great clues, I agree. I was thinking of the Audi Quattro, rather than Wolf-Ferrari (Wolf itself being a Grand Prix marque albeit of much less standing than Ferrari, although it did hold the distinction - unique I think for a privateer team - of winning its first ever grand prix (Jody Scheckter, Argentine GP, 1977), with a very pretty car at that, the WR1 http://www.research-racing.de/wr1-0.htm ... *pops anorak back in the cupboard* )
Just pop it next to Mr Pee's, there's a good lad

          Yes the answer is Reich(a).

Oooh, but this is difficult. Angle intimated first the identity of all three elements without naming them, Anna was first to say Reich (Steve)/Phase, rubbers spake Reicha, mercia articulated the three German reichs...

To whom do I award the S?

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

That's sweet of you rubbers but I really think you deserve it more than I with your Reicha so can I nominate you instead? I really have to go and attend to some important matters and have no 'S' prepared.

You mean, this isn't important enough?

Well, as Angle has supposedly gone out for ice cream (although I suspect he is actually hovering over the hedgerows for the chance of discovering voles or other small creatures) I shall produce an S
