To add further insult to injury there was yet another instance of "unintentionally hapless" commenting in the presenting of the issues of the forthcoming General Election in this lunchtime's news on BBC1, in which the corporation's spokesman commenting on Corbyn's prospects made reference to the Greek leftist government presenting an anti-austerity programme for its election which it had then failed to deliver - adding that the case was (of course) different and in another country. So, if the case was different and in another country, why bring it up at all? especially in view of the circumstances, namely the Greeks' negotiations with the European bank over repaying its debts, had b*gger all to do with anything else, let alone the June election here. Deprived of ideological blinkers, it's impossible not to see the British public being subtly nudged away by aside insinuations from forming any informed comparative views between the different party platforms, courtesy BBC "objectivity".

Why is it that Corbyn's personal ratings are constantly engineered so as to set up any interview with a Labour Party spokesperson, whereas the Liberal Party is constantly pre-framed in terms of "making a comeback", citing the Richmond by-election as if generally applicable nationwide? I seriously hope some group such as the Glasgow Media Group, and not just people accusable of having a personal axe to grind such as me, are keeping a beady eye on the BBC's coverage of this election, because it's time their pretentions to balance and objectivity were irrrevocably unmasked.
