Oilrig - NZ sounds like a nice place. I should go for it and John's places too.

hf - 1998. Perhaps. From about 1990, they all look pretty similar to me.

Tonight's World Routes is that well-known classic

          'Not on at all'

as it seems we must have extra helpings of Music Nation wherever possible. nothing against that series of shows, but any World Music content seems to be first up for the chop if they need a bit more space in the schedules.

Anyway WR is on next week at 22.00 featuring this year's protégé, London-born teenage accordionist José Hernando.

But generally, this seems to be how committed r3 are to WM..

Actually make that the whole of the BBC

Well that's an extremely pleasant surprise - I was looking forward to a night in Brazil and I think Virginia Rodrigues was going to be there - instead we're in Brighton with Max Romeo and Lee Scratch Perry - and extremely fine it is so far.

Is it some kinda April fool but I see that in the post schubertian universe they're re-running Andy visiting the Sayan Ring Festival this Sunday evening on R3 - wonder if we'll get anything new from him any time soon.
Andy Kershaw visits the Sayan Ring Festival in Shushenskoe in deepest Siberia.

And my guess is no - see that smoke in the sky? That's from someone burning their bridges that is.

Beneath this cynical exterior is an optimistic streak that burns away quite the thing, Global.....and I did think Costcutters too!
