And I'd like to thank Catherine for that very moving broadcast with the prisoners whom she trained to sing a chorale during the Bach immersion series we enjoyed over Christmas a few years ago. Those lovely West Indian voices ... I've often wondered if somehow they were able to go on singing together during their time in jail.

Whilst not disagreeing with the sentiments of your post, Aunty, I think your use of the word 'we' may be a little presumptuous! I hope you won't use it again in relation to the Schubert immersion series. Immersion of any sort is not for me, and I'm afraid CFM is my refuge during such periods.

Oh, I don't mind a little immersion in the Music: it's the water-boarding of the witless witterings between the pieces that ensures I don't listen. The loss of the sense and sanity of the EMS is felt all the more!
