Totally agree. One of my biggest disappointments was having a ticket to see him in action in Berlin in 2014 only to have him cancel for health reasons. There was compensation in the fact that Lahav Shani stepped in and gave a wonderful performance of Mahler 1, but still …

Georgia Mann has just played the most APPALLING (mis)treatment of the last movement of Tchaikowsky's Violin Concerto by Patricia Kopatchinskaja. The notes scarcely had time to breath - proof, were it needed, that the ability to play something extremely quickly does not necessarily do justice to the work being performed and should preferably be displayed in the privacy of a thick-walled bedroom or basement.

Shouting does not enhance one's argument. As it happens, the Pat Kop/MusicAeterna/Currentzis is, by some margin, my favourite recording of this work.

Isn't it a shame that the John Oswald version with Jon Rose and the BBCSSO with Ilan Volkov consists only of the last movement!

The use of upper case for a whole word is consdered an analogue of shouting in social media communications.
