Well done to mercs and cloughie for cracking it, and to Rubbers for the encore.

The Theremin, as used by Percy Grainger in Free Music One (for four theremins), in Bill Bailey's 2008 "Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra" at the RAH with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Anne Dudley, and in Shosty's music for the silent film Odna (Alone)

Download your own theremin from here: http://www.theremin.info/-/viewpub/tid/32/pid/3

I see that you were toying with theremins in January 2011, rubbers, but chose a triptych of operas instead

Heavens, my dear chap, you have me down to a T! Is someone up for a U or vying for a V? I'm rather in the mood for a W, myself...

Are you not worried about your eyesight?

I always think the theremin is soundwise an electronic musical saw!

Perhaps the charms of Carolina Eyck might persuade you otherwise. She certainly has a grasp of this elusive instrument

I would be honoured, and am certainly able to give the boards my full attendance today. Just give me a little time to come up with something...

                              A Doctor writes....

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
