    ... woy? No Henze?
Got it, nicely reported Anna-style. Don't do Henze!

I always think of the Moody Blues as a Prog rock band that stopped pogressing after about 4 albums - I can never decide whether they got rich and lazy or simply ran out of ideas.

          Very well done, Ferney.

I agree that the lack of Henze was unforgivable in the context

Yes, Henze's Voices makes use of radio broadcasts, sports commentaries, a speech by John F. Kennedy and an extract from Sibelius's Second Symphony. It's all a lot of fun.

On reflection, it might have been a bit of a giveaway?

              Anyway:

A Goldsmith example might blow a wind Northwards from the City of London. Which W in common?

No; if a wind blows towards the North then it is a .......ly wind?

Oh, yikes, that was a bit of a stab... I was thinking Orb and Sceptre are examples of the Goldsmith's art and didn't he write some choral celebration of The City of London (as well as the song cycle a Song for the Lord Mayor's Table). I'm a bit stuck on the North wind thing. He was born in Oldham, wasn't he?

So is the song 'Blow the Wind Southerly' about a north or south facing wind?

Lucky stab: one of these Waltons is William.

Jerry Goldsmith wrote the theme for the TV Waltons show (hope I've got that right)

Well, the only other musical one I know of is Cedar Walton who used to play piano with the Jazz Messengers...
