... are we looking for something Cajun? [cos if so, I'm out... ]

    Comment

Sorry Anna. I'm really sorry but no. There is now something from Drieu etc, a hop to Cow Island which is in Vermillion, Louisiana, and a song without words from de Falla. I really do think I should have the next question. It has been a day back at the office, albeit a nice one.

vinteuil - One of the strands has a cajun link. Another is classical music and the remaining one is another serious art form. All lead to the same F.

O, Fromentin is good. I think he was a subject on the "What am I reading" thread some time back. Those of us what had read him came to the conclusion that, tho' we had enjoyed his Dominique when we read it as younglings - we probably wdn't feel up to re-reading it now. I think.

            ... he keeps saying " a hop " - I feel sure that's significant....

Yes it is significant. And it isn't a record label.

Ah mercia, and to think this all began with your etincelles. It is now so much bigger.

Ah! I had no idea (no change there, then)

Sadly I am offline by and large till this time tomorrow (partners' conference outside London tomorrow ) Those pesky partners, eh Mr Flay? Are yours quiescent, more or less?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I think I had better say in 2 minutes and 45 seconds (unless I hear to the contrary).

No, of course it's not your fault mercia. This question has now been ongoing for 8 hours. I think the record was the extremely strange E posted by Caliban. Remember the forum closes at 10pm tonight..... so get your answers in before then! I think I'm totally giving up at this point. even our wonderful Dumbledore finds Hogwarts does not have an answer to this ... And whoever got the Falla gets the next question (I forget who it was, possibly vints)

Well, the obvious answer is: You and whose Army?
